SHEILA GOODMAN

CAREER & TECHNOLOGY COACH

Sheila first learned about the impact of incarceration as a high school student, when she volunteered with children of incarcerated parents at San Quentin State Prison during the holidays. That experience planted the seed for a life-long desire to bridge the gap between imprisonment and employment.

Prior to joining the Reset team, Sheila worked as the Business Development & Events Manager for the early-stage seed fund and incubator program, 500 Startups. There she managed corporate partnerships, Demo Days, and global conferences. She also led Business Development for LaunchPodium, a web design and online strategy startup that ran an Entrepreneurship in Residence program for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Sheila continues to be an active volunteer for The Last Mile, a technology entrepreneurship and computer-coding program inside San Quentin State Prison. Always passionate about social justice and the new opportunities in our ever-changing global economy, she is a firm believer in second—and third—chances. Sheila earned her degree from New York University Stern School of Business. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, and attending any event where costumes are encouraged.
